Sinful Sirens Giveaway Hop

I'm giving away three copies of my scifi erotic short story, A Taste of Justice!
This giveaway is international. The three winners will be announced on April 23. Ebook format of winner's choice. Enter via the rafflecopter below!

One year ago, Mira Gray escaped the moon and her arranged marriage. Mira misses her beloved home, but life on earth offers her a chance at her wish: to find love.

Justice Covington, a lunar assassin, tracks a dangerous alien to Mira’s neighborhood. Fierce attraction sparks between Mira and Justice. However, he cannot stay on earth. She cannot return to the moon, unless she accepts her arranged mate. Will Mira get a taste of Justice, only to lose him to impossible circumstances?

Here's a naughty excerpt:

Mira returned her attention to his wrist, which she still held. “You have beautiful hands.”
“Excuse me?”
She ran a finger along the curve of his bicep, over his wrist, and across his palm. “Strong hands. You’re definitely a fighter.” She shook her head. “I guess I’m strange. Most women appreciate abs and shapely backsides. That’s all well and good, but a man can do more to a woman’s body with his hands.”
His eyes flared.
“Sorry.” She grinned, not sorry in the slightest. “I’ve been on earth for a year and I’ve grown accustomed to complimenting handsome men. They call it flirting.”
“I know what they call it.”
“Lunar men would benefit from the practice.”
Justice grasped her hips and pushed her back against the refrigerator. Pressing his body to hers, he lowered his face so that their noses touched. “How’s this?”
She struggled to breathe evenly and pushed against his chest. “Nice, but this is a bit beyond flirting.”
“Is that a problem?” His lips curved into a mischievous grin. “I may be from the moon, but celibacy isn’t my thing.” He smoothed his hands over her sides, teasing the sensitive skin under the hem of her shirt.
“Mmm. No, it’s not a problem at all.” She couldn’t resist touching him in return. She explored the curve of his backside and the expanse of his shoulders. Her body grew warmer. Much warmer. Too warm for good behavior.
Justice wrapped a hand under her knee and hooked her leg around his waist. He rocked his hips against her, rubbing her core with his erection.
Definitely not just flirting, and she didn’t object in the slightest. “So,” she said, the word coming out as a gasp because he pinched her nipples, “I take it you don’t have a mate?”
“Not yet.”
“I see.”
He slid a hand between their bodies and ran his thumb over her zipper. Continuing his teasing, he reached down her jeans just far enough to run his fingers through the hair at the apex of her thighs.
She squeezed his arms. “Mmm.”
He pressed light kisses along her jaw. “I realize I interrupted your evening and I’ve been intruding on your personal business. But, despite my sketchy first impression, would you like to have dinner with me tomorrow?”
She smiled. “Yes. I absolutely would.”

The Black Dagger Brotherhood Blog Hop!

The Black Dagger Brotherhood. Ah! There is so much I could write about this topic. Love this series! I discovered it late, so I had the benefit of reading the first five books back to back. Good times!

I remember the day I discovered J. R. Ward’s series. I’d gone to Borders in search of a new read with nothing specific in mind, so long as it involved the romance shelf. I ended up with the first two Brotherhood books, and I proceeded to the check-out line.

A rather cute, young male cashier scanned my books and his eyes widened. “Have you ever read J. R. Ward before?”

He was too cute for a snarky reply pointing out that I was buying book one in the series. “No.”

Both of his eyebrows shot to his hairline. He smiled at me the way a little boy smiles at an ant hill while holding a magnifying glass over it. Thick voice: “You’re in for it.”

“Oh, kaaaay…”

Now, to this day I wonder just what he meant by that. Was he a fan trying to say the books are awesome, but ended up being inadvertently creepy? Or, was he just a brat referencing the hot content? Oh, well.

I’m sure we’re all in for it with Tohrment, heh. I can’t wait!

Cheers,
Autumn
